When we are young we meet many people that we consider friends, it is very rare that you maintain those friendships as you grow older. I am fortunate that I met a very wonderful person in high school that has been a very close friend and we continue to support and encourage each other. I remember meeting this shy and quite person; I’ll keep the conditions in which we met to myself, but I assure you she is now far from the same person I first met! Someone once called me a “firecracker” and I find that to be a good description of my friend. She can be fun but if you light her fuse she can be explosive! She has also been there for me through thick and thin, no matter how far the miles are between us, she is always just a phone call away. I am very fond of her because she has always been honest, sometimes honesty can hurt but it’s reality that sets us straight and opens our eyes to change. There’s also the fact that we have things in common, which is always helpful. I stayed with her in July on one of my trips and we had a play day together. I wanted to share some of the pictures from that day of her and her beautiful children. (Of course I am bias) I want to remind her that over the years we have both met many people and have made many friends but she is still me BFF. I also want to thank her for the play day.
