The McGirt's Angel.

This little one has a very special angel looking over her and the family. Jeremy; The father of this baby girl passed away unexpectedly. Before the burial, his mother asked that I take a few pictures to be placed with him....Daddy's Girl! His legacy is beautiful!

For Independence Day, I attended a parade and the Lumbee Pow wow in Pembroke, NC. It wasn't just about the 4th of July but about history and heritage.

I had a little spare time so I visited our local airshow, even though I found the people and things on the ground just as entertaining! Just thought I would share a few pics.

Two hearts....joined as one.

I had the opportunity to meet the "Snuggs" who are newlyweds. A nice young couple that make you smile just being around them. Sheronda Snuggs could make a grown man giggle with some of the faces she make but the only man she is worried about it Matt. They were very easy to work with, natural, patient and fun loving. Hopefully they will stay that way when the newest "Snugg" family member arrives.....Congratulations!!

Every couple miles...

There are old tobacco barns and tractor barns every couple of miles, some may think they are an eye sore, but each has it's own character and each changes with the season.

Photographic memory

When I say Photographic Memory, I don't mean the ability for a person to recall a memory as if looking at a photo. I mean memories of different types of photograph paraphernalia. I'd like to think that my interest is genetic...I wish talent was too! I have accumilated some old camera equipment from my great grandparents, which is amazing to see the changes in technology. The pictures are priceless! My favorite is of my mother when she was a little girl.

Me?

Sometimes it's easier to see the beauty thru a lens when you look at others, but once in a while a friend will reverse it on you....so you can see the beauty in yourself.

A day to remember..

January 20, 2009 will be a day that many remember for the inauguration of the 44th president, as many people where glued to the TV or traveled many miles to see a part of history but for the children who live in my little town were only thinking one thing.....SNOW DAY, Schools closed. Being a native of Florida, I am not very fond of cold weather however a day in the snow was just the break I needed! I spent the day looking at the blankets of white snow that covered everything and it wasn't too long before everyone came out with sleds and even cardboard boxes, trash can lids, boogie boards whatever they could find to slide down hill. I enjoyed taking pictures of all the fun and facial expressions of not only people I knew but of complete strangers. No Fears....I said I lived in a small towns so pictures can be used in our local news paper....and they wont be strangers for long but until I have permission an they can be identified I wont post them... but I will share a few...
